The Sports Programme for The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China is now confirmed. The International World Games Association has reached an agreement with the host city and the international federations on the medal events for TWG 2025, to be held from 7th to 17th August 2025. Over the ten days of competition, a total of 262 gold medals will be awarded in 35 sports and 62 disciplines.
With the Women's Floorball World Championships in Singapore now over, the qualification process for The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China, is complete for this year. So far, six out of a total of 35 sports have made their first entries on the qualification list.
To mark International Anti-Corruption Day on 9th December, the International World Games Association announces that it is adopting the published Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of Manipulation of Competitions (OM Code PMC), and is amending its Rules accordingly.
Congratulations to Candy Brière-Vetillard from France, IWGA Athlete of the Month for November 2023! The 20-year-old Frenchwoman won the gold medal in Tumbling at the FIG World Trampoline Championships in Birmingham, Great Britain in November. One day earlier she had won silver in the team competition. Her gold medal was her first ever in an individual discipline at a world championship. For France it was the first individual gold in this discipline in over 20 years.
The qualification process for the 12th edition of The World Games has just begun, and the first country to make its debut at the Games from 7th to 17th August 2025 in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China has already been selected. Athletes from Benin will participate for the first time in the event, which includes 35 sports and 60-plus disciplines.

In the IWGA Interview of the Month, he shares his experiences at the Competition Managers’ Meeting (CMM) held at the end of October in Chengdu. He says: “All topics covered during the CMM are very important for the future, in order to have the best preparation for TWG 2025.”
